Cardio Rehab
EOS is a tablet app that makes the rehabilitation process easier. EOS combines supervised exercise training, heart-healthy nutrition, and medical education in one product, designed for cardiac rehab. The main features of the app include real-time exercise supervision, improving eating habits, and decreasing risk factors.

Problem Statement
My main task was to design a user-friendly and accessible dashboard featuring summary information. The app is needed to facilitate database management, create and assign training programs, and establish schedules for doctors. The overarching goal was to ensure the sustainability of CR (Cardiac Rehabilitation) and guide each patient through the recovery process, motivating them to complete the entire course. EOS's mission is to empower patients, providing them with the strength and freedom to pursue their passions and live a high-quality life.

Solution
Several solutions can be implemented to facilitate database management, create and assign training programs, establish schedules for doctors, and motivate patients through the recovery process:
User-Friendly Dashboard: a clean and intuitive dashboard provides a summary of key information such as patient progress, upcoming appointments, and training program assignments.
Database Management Tools: efficient database management, allowing administrators to easily add, edit, and update patient records, training programs, and doctor schedules. Include features for sorting, filtering, and searching to quickly access relevant information.
Training Program Creator: creating and customising training programs tailored to each patient's needs and rehabilitation goals. Allow administrators to select exercises, set repetitions and durations, and assign programs to individual patients or groups.
Assignment and Scheduling System: for assigning training programs to patients and scheduling appointments with doctors or rehabilitation specialists. Enable administrators to view availability, schedule appointments, and send reminders to patients via email or notifications within the app.
Patient Engagement Features: Integrate features to motivate and engage patients throughout their recovery journey. This could include progress tracking, goal setting, achievement badges, and motivational messages or quotes. Provide educational resources and tips to empower patients to take control of their health and well-being.
Accessibility Features: Ensure the app is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities or special needs. Implement features such as adjustable font sizes, colour contrast options, and compatibility with screen readers to enhance accessibility and usability for all patients and healthcare providers.

Brand Identity and Accessibility
Design concept
A dynamic system of identity was chosen to show the visual rhythm. All elements are dancing and playing with each other. It's a metaphor for how EOS empowers their patients who are participating in the cardiac rehab program with them.
EOS is this rhythm of life. Bright contrast colours also play an important role in the "celebrating life" tone of voice, which is the part of EOS brand.
Colour Blindness Friendly
Accessibility is crucial for ensuring that all users, regardless of any visual impairments or disabilities, can effectively engage with and navigate the EOS brand's identity and materials. When it comes to the choice of colours, such as orange and purple, it's essential to consider their accessibility to ensure that they are usable by everyone. That's why the accessibility of orange and purple colours for the current brand was evaluated.
Approximately 8% of men and 0.5% of women worldwide are affected by some form of colour blindness, which may impact their ability to distinguish between certain colours. When using orange and purple, it's essential to consider how they may appear to users with colour vision deficiencies and ensure that there is sufficient contrast between them to maintain readability and clarity.

Result
Implementing the listed improvements for the EOS Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) tablet app led to several positive outcomes, benefiting both patients and healthcare providers involved in the program. Here are some potential results that were achieved:
Improved Patient Engagement: by creating a user-friendly and visually appealing interface with dynamic visual elements representing the rhythm of life, patients are more likely to engage with the app regularly. The vibrant colours and interactive design contribute to a positive user experience, encouraging patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation program.
Enhanced Accessibility: by considering accessibility principles in the design, including sufficient contrast ratios, colour-blind-friendly colour choices, and adjustable text sizes, the app becomes more inclusive and usable for a wider range of users, including those with visual impairments or disabilities. This ensures that all patients can access and benefit from the app's features and functionalities.
The incorporation of tools for efficient database management simplifies administrative tasks for healthcare providers, allowing them to easily manage patient records, training programs, and doctor schedules within the app. This improves workflow efficiency and reduces the administrative burden on healthcare staff, enabling them to focus more time and resources on patient care.
